I also advocate the use of study groups outside of class and the need to form relationships within the class so that students feel like they are a part of a community. ...I received my B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in biology, and a B.S. in Secondary Education from Drake University. Then I proceeded to get my M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I enjoy helping students learn new content by making connections to previous learning and everyday life.
