...In graduate school, I took a course on Teaching Diverse Learners, half of which was devoted to special education, one lesson of which was devoted entirely to autism. I got an A- in that course. I am an autistic person myself and am intimately familiar with the challenges autism might present to learning as well as how to circumvent those challenges and use autistic traits as assets.
