...While in undergrad, I tutored students beginning at 2nd all the way to 12th grade. This included: Geometry, Algebra 3, Middle school exit exam prep, Calculus, SAT prep, 4th grade, and 6th grade math. ...I tutored him for 2 hours to prepare him for a big test. When I returned the following week he and his parents were excited to show me he had gotten a 102 on that test. Now in no way can I guarantee that kind of success, but I think I’ve gotten better in the last 30+ years. (read more)
...Classical physics in heavily used in mechanical engineering. I've used physics to design a testing rig for a lab, do force analysis on a wearable stress-sensing device, and do various lab experiments and building projects for school. In college, I took Statics, Dynamics of Rigid Bodies, Dynamics of Deformable Bodies, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Machine Design. (read more)
