Also, I co-lead a high school-level outreach program in my department, in which I taught many topics in physics to a class of high school students. ...Throughout high school, I came to understand that I appreciated the most were not the ones I necessarily was the most interested in. Instead, the teachers made the difference between an enjoyable class and an unengaging class. I sometimes found the textbook definitions and explanations unsatisfactory so those instructors that were patient and fully explained concepts were my favorite ones. (read more)
...I prefer to tutor online and one-on-one but am happy to meet in person if that is preferred. I like to work through the content with my student and determine where the student is confused. Then, we may move on to practice problems focused on the difficult areas for the student. (read more)
