Last summer, I tutored a profoundly gifted, homeschooled elementary student with ADHD in pre-algebra and a traditional high school student in physics. ...While the test is certainly checking for content knowledge, it also checks for a certain level of ability to manipulate the material. Though a calculator is allowed, all questions are designed to be done without, and usually with less effort or the same as typing into the calculator. Time should be set aside for practicing problems both ways. (read more)
...Being a huge lover of math throughout my entire education, I find physics to be a very enjoyable science. It is a science that we can actually calculate and see actual outcomes from!
