I have also tutored someone in factoring polynomials before and got their grades up. Passed Algebra 2 with an A my junior year of high school. ...Though our "formal" emphasis has been on those students who were failing, my approach is to also include those kids who want to move from "passing" to an "A." And yes, I know my photo looks like mug shot. My former students call me "the Old Crab" for a reason. I have formally taught (and tutored) algebra I at the middle school and high school levels. ...I started my college education at my local community college, eventually going on to get my B.A in Anthropology from California State University Long Beach. I then went onto medical school at the University of Oklahoma, and am now a resident in psychiatry.
