...Initially, over 40 years ago, I learned ASL through association with the Deaf Community. Later, I returned to the classroom and obtained an Associates Degree in Interpreter Training. I am a member of RID and NAIE and have an EIPA certificate, which verifies I have the skills required to work in the classroom. (read more)

...This experience has given me insight to the learning of language and information from children on a as needed basis as it pertains to advancing in reading "levels". Certain information and reading behaviors are needed and it is important to find what is missing or lacking to strengthen it. Science is much different in the classrooms that I teach. (read more)
