...I don't like training people to parrot back correct answers or memorize a list of steps. I meet students where they are, engaging in dialogue with them about their best approach to a problem and where they get stuck or intimidated. ...With a visual learner, we can draw out the steps of mitosis. With an auditory learner, we can create a fun saying for each of the steps. With a kinesthetic learner, we can pretend each of our hands are the chromosomes going through the steps of segregation. (read more)
