...I prefer a logic based approach rather than force rote memorization. To me patience and communication are the most important parts of teaching. I find that the most effective way to teach is to listen to the students and learn from them, and then build upon their knowledge using familiar methods they are more likely to understand. ...I have tutored over 500 students in both ACT and SAT. For SAT tutoring I usually have the students take a test to pinpoint their weaknesses and have them work on it. By doing this I essentially ensure that the student will not be too overwhelmed with the amount of work while still making sure that they increase their score. (read more)
