English and the concept of print rich environment, phonics, or whatever the foundational skill is should not be overlooked. ...For just under three years, I worked directly with youth aged 12 to 17 on a research study investigating adolescent development. This involved working with youth for up to 7 hours at a time, which has provided me with many skills that carry over to tutoring. I have also worked with 4 and 5-year-olds as a camp counselor over three summers, including as a head camp counselor. (read more)
