Tutoring students, whether in the schools or outside of the schools as an independent tutor, is a rewarding, positive experience for me. Teaching kindergarten you spend the first part of the year with reading readiness which is the basic of phonemic awareness and phonics. Teaching students phonics which leads into all the different things a student can go to decode a word helps with the spelling. (read more)
