Over the course of my musical journey, I have come to understand that the most important quality in a teacher is passion for the subject matter. Teachers who are passionate about music are more engaging, enthusiastic, and willing to go out of their way to ensure a student's success. ...I used my developmental and copy editing skills especially this past summer. I was awarded the Emerson Grant from Hamilton College to create a novella-length retelling of Shakespeare’s Othello. My academic background provided me with a solid foundation in storytelling, visual composition, and critical analysis, which I have leveraged throughout my career.
