...As routines and preferences must usually remain uniform, it is important to be cognizant and respectful of this. My personal approach is one of calm predictability. ...During my years in the classroom, I see the struggle that students have with reading and writing on a daily basis, and I think it comes down to lack of engagement and interest, so I want to change that for my students. I have been teaching for 10 years in various settings – small and large groups, virtual, private individual tutoring, and teaching in rural, suburban, and urban classroom and home settings.
