...I engaged in mathematics proofs, and studied logic independently for philosophy, this included taking a couple courses in logic itself, e.g, Symbolic Logic. I was a teacher's assistant for a semester of finite math at my University. I held independent sessions 2 days a week, in place of their normal class meeting, to reinforce material in creative and engaging ways. (read more)
...I also love to take that knowledge and teach it to others so that they also learn something new every day. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies, and it definitely makes me a better teacher. I always have a book, dictionary, magazine, or newspaper near me so that I can be more informed about what is happening around me. (read more)
