...This is the same for all academic subjects as well, understanding the material is much preferred over memorizing how to do specific problems. This understanding gives the student confidence that they can be successful in the subject. My time working at Yale allowed me the privilege of working with people from all over the world, many of whom English was not their first language. (read more)
...I have both taught and tutored PreAlgebra for over 15 years, and my strengths lie in helping students not only gain confidence in their math work, but also retain their skills. I have been a full-time high school math tutor for over 6 years, covering all grades and all levels of the math curriculum, including Precalculus. Trigonometry is one of my favorite subjects!
