...I am willing to go above and beyond for my students or those that I am helping. If I'm not sure how to do something, I will be forthcoming in that, but I will research the topic and see how I can better help and teach that subject. ...While many of the intervening years saw me as a part-time adjunct instructor of mathematics, I did enjoy a full-time appointment to the math faculty of Alabama A&M University for 5 of those years. I have also used my skills in industry and government, most notably at NASA and Intergraph. I've taught just about every undergraduate math course and tutored some graduate ones, too. (read more)
...I enjoy working with middle school and high school students and helping them understand math and Spanish. My favorite thing about teaching and tutoring is when students have their "Ah-ha!" moment. ...I’ve also spent time teaching abroad and working with underprivileged children in Africa and South America. I’ve taught middle and high school, always offering after school tutoring for all those in need. I feel I have found my calling in tutoring 1-on-1 and small groups. (read more)
