...I listen to the student and together we decide what is the best way for them to absorb the information and understand it so that they can excel in school and feel confident. If a student does not feel that they are smart enough or good enough to do the work, then chances are they will lose hope and give up. I believe that this can be avoided by positive reinforcement and individual time. (read more)

...I tried that initially, but ultimately found that groups were more time consuming and less focused than one on one tutoring would have been. I would have found this sort of service valuable back then. I am interested I tutoring now in large part because I find the subject matter interesting. (read more)
