After thirty years as a teacher at a Quaker independent school in suburban Philadelphia, I am now tutoring students in writing and research. I believe everyone can learn to write by understanding the process of writing and practicing the necessary skills. Good writing sometimes seems like a mystery to students because they often haven't been shown the steps to move from idea to finished essay. (read more)
...In order for me to complete my thesis I had to get through many Chemistry classes and labs. The laboratories taught techniques necessary for that course. Organic Chemistry was the class I learned to use instrumentation. (read more)
