I maintain an open line of commutation with my students, and I regularly entertain questions after a tutoring session has ended. I am always willing to meet my students in the middle. (read more)

...I worked with several high school students in preparation for the chemistry regents exam. For five hours a week for 8 months, I tutored small groups of students and provided challenging questions to increase their levels of understanding and analytical skills. Most of the students I tutored received a score of at least an 85 on the regents exam. (read more)
...Because I'm so passionate about the subject, I am patient with those that I tutor because I want them to be successful and excited when they grasp something. I love seeing that look of understanding when something 'clicks' and a student finally gets what they have struggled to learn. Math, with its abstract concepts, is a difficult subject to learn, and can be difficult to teach. (read more)
