...The five to ten words that are "learned" can be put in a special notebook and will be the building blocks for future words. In math, manipulatives are often the key to learning concepts that are rather abstract. I use manipulatives even for upper elementary students that are continuing to struggle with basic fact families and multiplication, or "times" tables. (read more)
