...These presentations are followed by hands-on engineering activities which often involve applying STEM topics to achieve a certain goal. This means I often have 1-on-1 conversations with students about how to better understand a certain method and help them apply it. Not only has this given me a stronger grasp of math and science, but has improved my ability to communicate difficult concepts. (read more)
...Besides teaching throughout the years, I have tutored students with various levels of mathematics from 7th through 12th grade as well as college students. One of the first things I do when I meet with a student is talk to the individual to pinpoint those areas causing difficulties. For example, I will ask how the student performs on test. (read more)
