...SQL has been around for a long while. I learned SQL in my database course when getting my BS in Computer Science (while in Germany serving in the US Air Force). Understanding the concepts of databases is a key foundation to being a software developer. I used SQL in one of my first jobs as a software developer at a company that created bank ledger systems.
