...For example, I have an English student who has trouble concentrating when he reads, but when I read the material to him, he has perfect recall, thus making homework and tests much easier and much less stressful for him. Some students just need help making a homework plan each week/day. Some need a person there to keep them on track and off the phone and the computer, etc. (read more)
Learning is something we do throughout our entire life. I think it’s important to capture the excitement that children naturally have to learn. So often that gets overshadowed by a child’s inability to grasp a concept which then turns their scholastic career into not one of growth but something that’s more of a chore for the child and parent.
