...John was mentored by All Americans Kyle Macy, Lancaster Gordon, Milt Wagner as well. During the summer of 1989 John was a practice player with the Kentucky Wildcats and was a walk on until cut that fall. However he remained friends with many of the players and played compatibly with the current wildcats as a practice player and pick up games. (read more)
