...I have completed courses as part of my requirements to become a reading specialist and graduated with a 4.0 gpa. I do phonics small group in my classroom and have administered spelling inventories in order to diagnose spelling/phonics stages. I also completed my thesis on the 4th grade slump, which highlights the importance of securing phonics skills in order to become a strong reader. (read more)
