...I have given speed talks, poster sessions, and formal presentations. Public speaking and the ability to communicate your findings effectively are some of the most important skills for a scientist, and as such, I gave daily presentations in many of my graduation school classes. ...As part of the program I’m in at UConn, I intern in a different classroom each semester. In these internships I do a lot of observing to learn about best practices, designing lessons, and delivering those lessons in both a small group and large group format.
