My students regularly tell me that my style of teaching works. My goal is that my students not only are successful in Mathematics but that they might learn to love it like I do! ...It was here that I found my love for math and figured out the short cuts to problems that the standard classroom will not teach you. During my schooling, I have won TMSCA state in Number Sense and Mathematics and have also qualified for UIL state several years in Number Sense and Mathematics. I am currently working toward my teacher's certification in Social Studies 8-12, which will be completed by June 1, 2012. ...I use Microsoft Word and Excel on a daily basis, and my co-workers repeatedly come to me when they want to learn a specific computer concept or technology. I like to tutor by means of a 30-minute demonstration of how a particular computer system works. I strongly believe that a individual learns more by the hands-on approach. (read more)
