In 1968 I entered Washington and Lee University in Virginia, was a disengaged student and flunked out of the university at the end of my junior year. I returned to academia in 1987 and finished by BA and earned an MA in history at UNCW maintaining a 4.0 average throughout my studies there. (read more)
