...This was partly because I didn't know what was important and what I could skim over. It wasn't until 12th grade that a college admissions officer told me, "You don't read a novel the same way you read a science textbook. It's okay to skim sometimes."

...In doing this, tutees are encouraged to ask questions that I respond to while I explain relevant concepts. I tailor my tutoring approach to my tutee; any questions they have for my explanations are logically refined to promote understanding based on their learning style.
