...A lot of tutors can understand how to use equations and what the variables in them refer to; but that leads more to an "intellectual" understanding. I want to give an understanding that you can "grab hold of," something that lets you know what that quantity or principle means. I do this through pictures and discussion of the history of physics, when helpful, to give context to the equations. (read more)
...I've done quite a lot of my own proofreading, as a professional technical writer. I'm not sure whether this entry is to DO proofreading for people or to help students learn how to do proofreading! If it's teaching proofreading to students, I'd do that in the context of general language arts help. (read more)
