...I began tutoring in college at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. There is a program that began there in the 70s that now exists at many universities called the "SI" program (Supplemental Instruction). It was through this training and experience that I discovered my love for teaching and tutoring. The university hired me to be the SI leader for both Calculus and Physics. (read more)

There are a variety of experiences that I have had which could be beneficial as a tutor/instructor: serving in the military (U.S. Navy; 1980-2001), working as a Substitute Teacher (2010-Present), and other occupations as well: Baptist minister, hospital orderly, and agriculture.
