...I also do encourage some degree of memorization, but I am a firm believer in minimizing the usage of that part of your brain as much as possible since it is notoriously the least reliable, and the most overused. Trig has a bad reputation, but it is a lot simpler than it seems. The key is to learn a few important concepts very well from which you can derive everything else. (read more)
