While I've introduced myself as the Grammar Hammer, I've seen that it helps lighten the mood and anxiety of students and help them open up about problems they are having in writing. I'm not one who would just mark something wrong and ask students to change their wording. I mark mistakes and then explain why it needs to be changed. (read more)
