...I spent many years mentoring electricians through apprenticeship programs and noticed that I spent much of my time teaching mathematics. I also loved working with students in middle and high school careers classes where I could show why learning mathematics was a necessary life skill. ...Through this I have learned how to help each student learn and figure out how they best study and can recall information. Also, I have always helped students learn test taking skills because I felt I never was given proper instruction on how to study or take tests. I played volleyball in high school. (read more)
