...Depending on the level of the student, I would prefer to hold sessions in the target language as much as possible. The best way to learn it is to actually use it. If the student does not already know what type of learner he/she is (ie visual, audio, kinesthetic, etc)I would like to help determine that in order to make studying and learning more effective. In helping English students, we delve into literature, into plot, character development, literary devices to try to grasp what was going on. The methods I used then, were based on practicing problems with students, assessing their knowledge level, and bridging gaps that arose.
